Shelby Eicher to be Inducted into Oklahoma Music Hall of Fame

MUSKOGEE, OK - The Oklahoma Music Hall of Fame has released the names of the newest members of the the Oklahoma Music Hall of Fame who will be honored during a Saturday, Feb. 17 ceremony and concert at the Muskogee Civic Center.

The 2023 honorees to be inducted into the OK Music Hall of Fame are: Ricochet, Bryan White, Timothy Long, Verlon Thompson, Jerry Huffer, Shelby Eicher and Governor's Award recipient David Webb.

"I am so excited to see the great musical diversity in this year's Hall of Fame inductees," said Tony Corbell, OMHOF's executive director. "From singer-songwriters to respected educators to concert pianists, this class of inductees will long be remembered for what they have contributed to the world of music - all coming out of Oklahoma, proving once again that Oklahoma is a true music capital."

As a member of Roy Clarke’s band for 15 years, Eicher recorded five live albums with Clark and logged numerous appearances on "The Tonight Show," "Hee Haw," and the Grand Ole Opry. He has played on projects with JJ Cale and Hank Thompson and can be heard in many movie soundtracks and commercial jingles. He has also played on gaming soundtracks for Sony PlayStation. Eicher performs up to 20 times per month and teaches fiddle, mandolin and guitar to students throughout Tulsa.
