CPHS Softball: Usher and Arnold hit two home runs apiece, beat Kellyville 13-0

The Class 6A No. 14 ranked Charles Page High School Slow Pitch Softball Team (4-6) avenged a season opening loss to 5A No. 8 Kellyville (12-7) Monday evening, ravaging the Ponies 13-0 in only three innings.

Sabrina Usher hit a solo home run in the first inning and Madelyn Blair singled to score Jensen Arnold for a 2-0 lead.

In the second inning Cameron Clemons doubled to score Felicity Horn, then Jacie Taber scored Clemons and Usher on a home run. Jensen Arnold followed it up with another home run to make it 7-0.

In the bottom of the third Kimi Presnell hit a double to score Makenna Skaggs, Clemons scored on an error, and Usher hit another home run to score Presnell. Taber reached on an error and scored on a second home run from Arnold for the run-rule victory. 

The Lady Sandite junior varsity squad won their game 5-2 over Kellyville.

Sand Springs Softball will return to action Tuesday morning at the Jenks Festival. They will play No. 3 Southmoore (14-3) at 10:00 a.m. and No. 11 Tahlequah (8-5) at 2:00 p.m.
