Word of Life Free Community Carnival
Word of Life church in Sand Springs hosted an annual Free Community Carnival with food, rides, school supplies, and giveaways during the summers of 2013 through 2016. The 2016 Carnival drew a record crowd of more than 5,000 attendees.
The church first began the carnival in 2013 under Senior Pastor Chad Stewart. Held in August the first three years, the carnival was moved to Memorial Day weekend in 2016 before being cancelled in 2017.
The carnival featured more than half a dozen rides, free food, free drinks, children's games, dance competitions, and more. The church also gave away 1,000 backpacks full of school supplies every year, and gave out cars and cash blessings to guests.
The 2017 carnival was initially scheduled for Saturday, August 19th before the church announced its cancellation in June of that year.
Word of Life was renamed Reach Church in August of 2018.
