Sandite Cross Country Ends Season at Regionals

The Charles Page High School cross country team recently wrapped up its season at the 6A-East Regional Championship at O’Brien Park.

The varsity boys placed 16th out of 16 teams while the girls only had one runner and couldn’t earn a team place. No Sandites qualified for the State Championship.

Senior Kelsi Hilton was the lone runner for the Lady Sandites, finishing the 5K in 20:44.09 for 44th place out of 100 runners.

Senior Dallas Potter led the boys with a time of 18:58.74 for 89th place out of 111 runners.

Sophomore Anshun Syong finished 92nd in 19:05.53, freshman Rafi Huff finished 96th in 19:28.17, freshman Kordel Hartmann finished 102nd in 20:17.56, freshman Jessen Cox finished 103rd in 20:22.79, and freshman Gavin Corbin finished 109th in 21:51.62.

With five out of six runners returning next year, the boys will be in a good position to grow over the next few years.
