Sand Springs Wrestling wins Nathan Hale Tournament with six Champions

The Sand Springs JV Wrestling team took first place at the Nathan Hale Tournament this weekend, beating out numerous varsity squads. Sixteen wrestlers placed, twelve made the finals, and six brought home the gold.

Brendon Wiseley (106), Colten Roberts (120), Irwin Portillo (126), Cody Mathis (138), Dayvon Taylor (170), and Hayden Cramer (182) all took first place, while Colby HeckenKamp (132), Derek Davis (145), Mikey Burns (160), Kris Edwards (220), Scott Patton (126), and Gabe Wakefield (170) came in runner-up. 

James McDougal (113) and Mike Brown (182) placed third, Dominique Pipes (285) placed fourth, and Gavin Garcia (145) came in fifth.
