Katy Trail is an 8.5 mile Easy-rated trail stretching from downtown Tulsa to East 34th Street in Prattville. The trail intersects with River City Trail at the Arkansas River Bridge and runs for an additional 1.8 miles through Case Community Park.
Public parking is available in Sand Springs at the former site of Drug Warehouse, in Case Community Park, and in downtown Sand Springs on Main Street.
The trail also connects with the Newblock Park Trail and Riverparks East Trail in Tulsa, offering another 30+ miles of interconnected Tulsa County trails.
The trail runs past the last remaining site of the sandy springs from which the town of Sand Springs was named. The majority of the springs were destroyed during the construction of the Keystone Expressway. The Sand Springs Rotary Centennial Park features informative plaques telling the history of the site.
In 2017 the City of Sand Springs began a project to remove the fencing and overgrowth separating the trail from the Keystone Expressway.
