CPHS Baseball: Lucas Adcock Grand Slam wins Sandites 10th straight

Sand Springs Baseball is looking hot this season, riding a ten-game win streak under first-year Head Coach James Garrison.

Lucas Adcock put the exclamation mark on the double-digit streak with a grand slam for a 4-3 district victory in Ponca City (4-18, 1-7). The Charles Page High School varsity squad improved to 14-6 overall and 4-2 in district action.

With two balls, two strikes, and two outs on the board, Adcock went swinging with a trio of foul balls before finally hitting pay dirt over the left field fence.

Ponca loaded the bases again in the bottom of the seventh and nearly pulled off the comeback. Tanner Denton and Po Seals singled in runs for a 4-3 deficit, but Ty Steelman struck out Aaron Hosack to seal the victory.
