The Charles Page High School Varsity Baseball team (8-7 overall, 1-4 district) saw their four-straight win streak come to a close Monday night in a district road game at Bixby High School (6-9, 2-2). The Sandites managed just three hits and were unable to overcome an early Spartan lead.

The home team scored all three of their runs in the first inning, loading the bases with a pair of singles and a walk. Matthew Henderson was hit by pitch to score Coby Tillman, Nic Swanson outran a fielder's choice, and Tucker Pawley singled to score Justin Smith.

The Sandites scored their lone run of the game in the top of the fifth as Braden Askew doubled and came home on a sacrifice from Cale Savage.

Josh Cordell (2-1) got his first loss on the mound this season, giving up six hits with one strikeout.

Bixby will travel to Sand Springs Tuesday for a rematch at 5:00 p.m.
